The CQI-30 Rubber Processing System Assessment – Mixing & Molding, published by the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG), helps companies systematically evaluate and improve their rubber processing operations. It focuses on rubber mixing and the manufacture of molded rubber components for the automotive industry.
The assessment helps prevent defects, reduce process variation and scrap, and continuously improve product quality.
CQI-30 complements existing quality management systems, such as IATF 16949. Whether and to what extent the assessment applies depends on the relevant customer requirements and contractual agreements.
