The 1st edition of the AIAG CQI-22 was published in March 2012.
The CQI-22 guideline was developed by AIAG to help companies systematically identify, evaluate and manage quality-related costs within their management systems. It differentiates between prevention, appraisal, internal failure and external failure costs (Cost of Quality), enabling organisations to analyse and strategically reduce these costs. As such, CQI-22 actively supports continuous improvement and the enhancement of efficiency.
