CQI-18: Guideline to Effective Error-Proofing is an official AIAG publication by the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) and part of the AIAG CQI Guidelines for CQI Special Processes.

The guide provides practical advice on how to systematically integrate error prevention (error-proofing/poka yoke) into development, production and management processes in order to permanently eliminate the causes of errors and reduce process deviations. As an AIAG CQI Handbook, CQI-18 supports automotive suppliers in establishing a sustainable zero-error culture and complements existing quality management systems such as IATF 16949. The publication is part of the official AIAG Standard Distribution and is available from the AIAG Webshop. It is aimed at quality managers, auditors and specialists who want to effectively implement AIAG CQI Standards, CQI Guidelines and CQI Special Processes in practice.
